Procedure for accepting foreign technical intern trainees
1. Inquiries / acceptance consultation
Please contact us regarding the acceptance of foreign technical intern trainees.
We will listen about your aspiration (age, industry, number of people accepted, time of year, etc.).
We will explain the possibility of acceptance and what you need to prepare for acceptance of foreign technical intern trainees.
2. Association admission procedures
In order to start accepting foreign technical intern trainees, it is necessary to join our association (hereinafter referred to as the association.
3. Order preparation / submission
We are accepting applications to accept foreign interns.
You will be asked about the detailed order as to what kind of human resources you would like to accept, calculated salary planned after hiring, and to create an employment contract and employment conditions.
4. Start recruiting human resources at the sending organization
We will send the your orders/employment conditions to the sending organization in your country of choice.
The sending agency will start recruiting personnel based on the contents of the order.
We usually gather two to three times the expected number of the people you plan to hire.
(Although it depends on the number of people and the personnel required, the recruitment period is usually about one month)
5. Recruitment in the host country, recruitment interview
The person in charge of your recruitment and the person in charge of our association will go to the saod country and will conduct a hiring test..
Candidates will be interviewed with the help of a local interpreter
If the trainee is hired as a result of an interview and examination, you will be asked to sign an employment contract with the trainee on the spot
(In case you can’t come to the host country, it can be also conducted thru remote/online interview)
6. Preparation of application documents
After recruiting a foreign technical intern trainee, the association, your company, and the local sending organization will start preparing application documents for entering of the foreign technical intern trainee.
The documents that will be created are enormous and diverse, so leave it to the association.
After submitting the prepared documents to the relevant places, the Immigration Bureau will issue a Certificate of Eligibility.
Preparation of documents, Submission, Examination and Issuing of Certificate of Eligibility takes about three to four months.
7. Foreign technical intern trainees start learning Japanese
Until the certificate of eligibility is issued, the hired foreign technical intern trainees are encourage to study Japanese language, culture and courtesy at the Japanese language school of the local sending organization.
8. Visa application / Entry
As soon as the Immigration Bureau issues a Certificate of Eligibility, it will be send it to the local sending agency immediately. The sending organization submits the Certificate of Eligibility to the Embassy of Japan and applies for a visa.
Once the visa is issued, the foreign technical intern trainees can enter Japan for the first time.
When the trainees have a chance to enter Japan, we will decide the date of entry in Japan and the date of entry in your company of trainees in consultation with your company. Upon entry, our association staff will pick up the technical intern trainees at the airport.
9. Legal training period
The trainees have a legal training period about one month after entering Japan.
That is the period of time prescribed by law. During this training period, the trainees will rerceive (1) Japanese language education, (2) Japanese culture education, (3) Education that contributes to the acquisition of skills, and (4) Immigration law / Labor law education.
During this training period, they will also study and practice social rules such as learning Japanese traffic rules and how to separate and dispose garbage in Japan.
10. Enter the company and start the technical intern training
After finishing the legal training period for about one month, they will finally join your company and start the technical intern training at your company based on the terms of the employment contract.
2.From association admission procedure to entering the company and start the technical intern training period takes about half a year (6 months).
