How should I write a technical intern training journal?
In the jobs listed in the expected training implementation schedule, enter the details of the task done that day on the left side of the column “Job engaged by Technical Intern Trainees”.
On the right side of the “Job engaged by Technical Intern Trainees” column, enter the number listed in the technical intern training content column of the technical intern training schedule.

It will be checked base on this journal wether the technical intern training is being carried out as planned, so it is necessary to properly record every day.

Want to change the occupation of the technical intern trainees in the middle of training.
It is impossible to change the occupation of technical intern trainees.
The Organization for Technical Intern Training (OTIT) permits interns in occupations determined prior to entry. Therefore, it is not allowed to do other occupations while working.
Can anyone be a technical intern training instructor?
“Persons with more than 5 years of experience in acquired skills” can be a technical intern training instructor.
Do I need to register for the Construction Career Up System?
In case of accepting a Construction Skills Intern, the intern-receiving agency must register for the construction career up system (Starting from January 1,2020)
It is said that the intern-receiving agency must perform the following task.
・The intern-training agency must have the permission of Article 3 of the Construction Business Act.
・The intern-training agency must register the company’s information and the technical intern trainee’s information in the construction career up system.
・The intern-receiving agency must conclude an employment contract with the technical intern trainee on a monthly salary.

The applicable training plan is as follows.
・The technical intern training no.1 plan to apply for a new application after January 1,2020
・The technical intern training no.2 plan to apply for a new application after January 1,2021
・The technical intern training no.3 plan to apply for a new application after January 1,2023
※The case of receiving licenses according to the old standards will no longer applicable.

About the skills test After finishing the technical intern training no.2, do I have to take the test even if I don’t intend to continue the technical intern training no.3?

The travel expenses for returning to Japan after the three-year training is shouldered by the company, but is it still shouldered by the company even if it is extended for two years?

Is there any problem with communication with technical intern trainees?
Technical intern trainees have received Japanese training before entering the country, so I think there is no problem to some extent. However, it is not always possible to speak fluently, if possible, speak slowly and as easy to understand as possible.

In addition, “Japanese Language Proficiency Test Mock Test and Countermeasures” (Ask Publishing) contains mock exam questions, so I think it is good for test preparation.
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test is divided into fields of grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and listening comprehension, so I think it would be good to study intensively using a collection of questions in the fields that the trainees are not good at.
Do business owners need to take out labor insurance / social insurance?
Yes, you need to have labor insurance and social insurance to accept trainees. The Immigration Law and the Labor Standards Law stipulate that technical intern trainees must take out labor insurance and social insurance.

Specific Skills Program

What are the terms in case of changing from technical intern training no. 2 and 3 to specific skills program?
Technical intern trainees need to finish technical intern training no.2 and have the following terms.
・Completed technical intern training for more than 2 years and 10 months
・①Pass the Skills Test Level 3 or pass the equivalent technical internship assessment program ②One of the evaluation records regarding technical intern trainees
※Suspending the technical intern training and changing to specific skills program is not allowed.
What is the difference between the Specific Skills program and the technical intern training system?
It is a system that accepts foreign human resources to deal with labor shortages and contributes to society to acquire skills and knowledge, and has different purposes.

Specific Skills System
A system that accepts foreign human resources who have a certain level of expertise and skills in a specific industrial field and are ready to work in order to respond to a serious labor shortage.

A system to promote international cooperation by transferring technology and knowledge to developing regions through human resource development
